Experience two of Botswana's most celebrated wildlife destinations by Machaba Safaris on a six-night safari combining the waterways and wilderness of Kiri Camp in the Okavango Delta with the game-rich Chobe Forest Reserve at Ngoma Safari Lodge.
Your journey begins in Maun with a light-aircraft flight to Kiri Camp, situated along the Kiri River. The area is renowned for its abundant wildlife, including large herds of buffalo, prides of lion, leopard and African wild dog, while its combination of floodplains, islands and woodland allows for exceptional game viewing both on land and water.
After three nights exploring the Okavango by game drive, walking safari and seasonal mokoro or boating excursions, fly onwards to Kasane and continue to Ngoma Safari Lodge in the Chobe Forest Reserve. Perched above the seasonal Chobe floodplain, the lodge offers panoramic views across one of Botswana's most wildlife-rich regions, famous for its enormous elephant herds and abundant big game.
Here, safari takes on a different character, with game drives through the Chobe region complemented by river cruises, walking experiences and night drives. The result is a beautifully balanced Botswana journey, combining the intimate waterways of the Okavango Delta with the vast floodplains and exceptional wildlife of Chobe.
The Okavango Delta is one of Africa's most extraordinary wilderness ecosystems, where the Okavango River spreads across the Kalahari Basin to form a vast network of channels, lagoons, floodplains and islands.
Kiri Camp lies along the Kiri River within a private community-run concession, offering access to remote areas of the Delta and a diverse combination of land and water habitats.
Located in northern Botswana near the Chobe River and the Namibian border, the Chobe Forest Reserve provides a quieter, more private setting from which to explore the wider Chobe ecosystem.
Ngoma Safari Lodge sits on a plateau overlooking the seasonal Chobe floodplain, with the landscape attracting large herds and abundant wildlife. Its proximity to the Chobe River also allows guests to experience the region from the water.
