Matumi Lodge is situated on the banks of the magnificent Sabie River, providing you with spectacular views over the river and into the Kruger National Park. Elephant, Hippo and buffalo are everyday sightings from the deck of your own private lodge.

Featuring a blend of contemporary and authentic African inspired design and decor, this spacious residence comprises of two bedrooms fully air-conditioned, both boasting private en-suite open plan bathrooms, with outdoor shower/bath and each bedroom opens up onto its own private patio area.

The Living area offers a very spacious open plan feel, consisting of a fully equipped kitchen, bespoke dining area and lounge, all of which is complimented by a designer fireplace which is bound to impress. The entire living area opens up and spills out onto a large covered patio overlooking the pool, equipped with an outside lounge suit, gas braai and dining table which is guaranteed to attract everyone for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

For relaxation, enjoy long lazy days relaxing on the loungers surrounding your private swimming pool, all whilst watching the wildlife stroll past your patio. Then finish off your day with an open campfire under the stars in your private Boma, listening to all the incredible sounds which come to life in the Kruger National Park at night.

Although not in the park itself, the lodges are set alongside the banks of the Sabie River where Elephants can often be seen grazing and drinking –  from which the estate takes its name. Within close proximity to other comparable exclusive world-famous game reserves, Elephant Point can be said to be in a league of its own.

With a selection of 16 unique lodges, ranging from 2- 5-bedrooms, each having breath-taking views of the African Bushveld and boasting a private pool, private deck, private boma, private parking, free Wi-Fi, en-suite bathrooms, living areas, dining areas, kitchen, sensory comforts and intuitive service. Dine by curating your own culinary experience either in the well equipped kitchen or in your private boma. Offering every convenience, arrangements can be made for pre-arrival shopping from your prescribed list, or our Private Chef can be readily available to your assist with all meal requirements. The Boma Starlit dinner is hosted by Elephant Point every Wednesday, weather dependent, on the River Deck offering un-spoilt spectacular views.

Elephant Point is situated in a region renowned for its natural diversity and concentration of Big Game and is undoubtedly in of the best game viewing areas in the Kruger National Park. The Estate takes its name from the Elephants that can frequently be seen drinking and grazing on the banks of the mighty Sabie River. However, Elephant is not the only magnificent creature you will encounter. Herds of Buffalo, Prides of Lion, Leopards and numerous Antelope species make their home in the Surrounding area.
