Mashatu is situated on the eastern fringes of the Kalahari Desert and water is its most precious resource. The setting of the Mashatu camps in close proximity to water, and in thickets of vegetation, automatically locates the visitor into an enclave populated by birds and animals.

Tuli Safari Lodge Mashatu

Tuli Safari Lodge Mashatu is an exciting new addition to the Mashatu portfolio, set on the bank of the mighty Limpopo River, with beautiful rolling lawns surrounded by sandstone outcrops. This camp has a swimming pool tucked away against the giant rocks, a stargazing deck, a hide and walking trail within the lodge grounds, as well as its own vegetable garden which supplies the kitchen. Eight luxury tented suites are spacious, airy and elevated. They present themselves as draped canvas walls and roofs over timber frames. Large wrap-around decks provide a relaxing outdoor space with views over the Tuli and surrounding bush. The interiors are a modern interpretation of the classic ‘out of Africa’ décor, with a flowing open plan design. All suites feature an island bed, lounge area, freestanding bath, fans, large separate shower, double basin vanity area, separate W.C. and ample storage space.

Mashatu Lodge

Mashatu Lodge is an oasis among the undulating and seemingly endless plains of the wild. 14 luxury suites lie along the camp’s perimeter and are designed to allow absolute privacy and a communion with the bush and its inhabitants. Watch elephants splashing at the waterhole, listen to the lyrical melody of the woodlands kingfisher on a branch overhead, smell the grassy scent of the bushveld, touch the bark of an ancient tree and inhale a breath of air so pure, it’s intoxicating. Each of the air-conditioned suites at Mashatu Lodge is tastefully decorated and includes impressive black and white prints of Africa’s most beautiful animals. A double bed and an extra-large single bed, together with a seating area that includes a single day bed, comfortably accommodate families. The ample en-suite bathroom with both bath and shower facilities and a separate W.C. complete the well-appointed suites. Each suite features two well-appointed restrooms.

Mashatu Euphorbia Villas

Mashatu Euphorbia Villas is situated within a unique wildlife area in Botswana, which is host to some of the finest predator viewing on the continent. This new eco-camp is set to leave a lasting impression on any guest. These villas are the new flagship camp of the Northern Tuli Game Reserve and is situated in the privately owned, baobab-studded, Mashatu Game Reserve. The Euphorbia Forest is a breath-taking hideaway, perched on the edge of a cliff face, and opens to reveal exquisite vistas overlooking the Majale river and endless, rolling plains below. This is an intimate camp featuring 8 eco-friendly villas.  Each villa sleeps two guests and strikes a balance between luxury and sustainability. This region experiences very little rainfall and therefore solar energy is utilised, along with a state-of-the-art water treatment and recycling system.
