Opening July 2026: Jaci’s Private Lodge is an intimate safari retreat located in the malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve, one of South Africa’s leading Big Five wildlife destinations. Reopening in July 2026 following a full rebuild, the lodge offers a refined yet relaxed safari experience designed for couples, families and small groups seeking both privacy and exceptional wildlife encounters.

The lodge features Safari Suites and family-friendly Safari Suite Expeditions, along with the exclusive Kubu Villa, Nare Villa and Jaci’s Madikwe House for guests seeking private accommodation. Each space blends contemporary comfort with natural textures and expansive views of the surrounding bushveld.

Guests enjoy twice-daily guided game drives led by experienced rangers, exploring Madikwe’s diverse ecosystems and abundant wildlife, including the Big Five, African wild dogs and a remarkable variety of birdlife. Between game drives, guests can relax around the lodge’s central pool, enjoy seasonal cuisine inspired by South African flavours, and take in the peaceful rhythm of the bush.

Safari Suites

Thoughtfully positioned to immerse guests in the rhythm of the African bush, the Safari Suites offer an elegant and intimate sanctuary for couples seeking a classic safari experience. Each suite is beautifully appointed with a super-king or twin bed configuration and a stylish open-plan bathroom featuring a freestanding bath, separate shower and WC. A calm, contemporary interior flows effortlessly into a sunken lounge, which extends onto a private exterior lounge and viewing deck overlooking the game reserve. Here, guests can relax with a morning coffee or sundowner as wildlife moves naturally through the bushveld. With air-conditioning, ceiling fans, Wi-Fi, a tea and coffee station and ample dressing space, the Safari Suites balance refined comfort with a deep connection to nature.

Safari Suite Expeditions
4 Suites | Max 2 Adults + 2 Children

Designed for families who wish to share the magic of safari together, the Safari Suite Expeditions retain all the elegance and privacy of the Safari Suites, while offering a clever and comfortable solution for younger explorers. Each suite features a super-king or twin bed, open-plan bathroom with bath, shower and WC, dressing table, safari-style hanging wardrobes, tea and coffee station, air-conditioning, ceiling fan and Wi-Fi. The sunken lounge opens onto a private exterior lounge and viewing deck with uninterrupted views into the game reserve. Up to two children can be accommodated within the suite. Children aged 6–12 years sleep on their own specially designed Little Expedition Beds, created by thoughtfully transforming the sunken lounge into a cosy and beautifully styled sleeping space with proper linens. Children aged 0–5 years are accommodated in a cot. The result is a warm, shared safari experience without compromising comfort or design.
