Located deep within the park, along the ephemeral Luwi River, Time + Tide Luwi is a remote camp with no other camps in sight. Peace and tranquillity envelopes this camp, offering a haven that allows guests to reconnect with nature in a meaningful way.
Boasting four safari tents which are nestled under a grove of ancient mahogany trees, this is the perfect spot for you to forget all your troubles. Each tent is set overlooking a floodplain that attracts hippos and elephants. Nestled in a grove of ancient trees, the tents are designed to fully immerse guests into the bush experience.
Time + Tide Luwi is where guests can enjoy moments around the campfire in the early morning making jaffles over the hot coals to evenings listening to the sounds of the Luangwa. Relive your favourite moments of the day over a delicious Zambian-inspired meal in the wild.
Nearby, a wildlife hide overlooks a lively oxbow lagoon—perfect for photography. Combine safari walks with day and night game drives to explore everything the bush has to offer.
South Luangwa National Park is the highlight of eastern Zambia. Known to locals as simply 'the South Park,' it was initially founded as the Luangwa Game Park in 1904, and converted to one of three game reserves in 1938. The impressive park covers an area of about 9050 square kilometres of the Luangwa Valley floor and lies anywhere from 500 meters to 800 meters above sea level. With its western and northwestern edge bounded by the Muchinga Escarpment and the southern borderline with the meandering Luangwa River, there's no shortage of dramatic and fascinating topography in this stunning game-rich park.
