La Cotte Farm

The Manor House

One of the seven original farms granted to the Huguenots, La Cotte Farm is steeped in history and heritage. The Manor house is at its heart and is a lovingly restored Cape Dutch homestead resting under ancient oak trees and surrounded by acres of spectacular gardens. Book into one of the elegantly proportioned guest bedrooms with their high ceilings, French doors, minibars, tea and coffee facilities and private terraces, or take the two-bedroomed Pool House with its own kitchen, living room and private veranda. The classic bathrooms have black and white marble floors, free-standing baths and generous walk-in showers.

Orchard Cottages

These traditional Cape cottages, with their unique position, complete privacy and well-appointed interiors, really are the perfect base for exploring the charming valley of Franschhoek. The various cottages, sleeping 2 - 6 guests each, are perfectly situated on the outskirts of the village. Each has their own private pool and veranda looking out over glorious gardens towards the most spectacular views of the valley. All the cottages have airy living rooms with high ceilings, DTSV televisions and wood-burning stoves, spacious bedrooms with French doors opening onto the view and generous en-suite bathrooms with free-standing baths, oversize walk-in showers and double vanities. The kitchenettes have bar fridges, microwaves and tea and coffee stations and the rest of the interiors are handsomely furnished to create a charming atmosphere that is both comfortable and classic, smart yet fresh.

Forest Cottages

Eight traditional cottages, each beautifully converted to sleep two to four persons. Located on the forest edge of one of Franschhoek’s oldest farms, these lavishly simple cottages offer incredible views over the forest, vineyards and valleys. Booked together, they are the ideal setting for large family gatherings and celebrations, or individually for quiet getaways. The row of deceptively rustic, terraced cottages is made up of five mezzanine cottages, two more spacious two-bedroom cottages and an intimate ‘Sunset’ cottage with its own plunge pool. All cottages have sun-drenched patios, fireplaces, open-plan living, dining and full kitchens, that overlook an immense swimming pool with a vine-covered, pool-side pavilion.

 Enjoy a delicious breakfast of locally sourced organic produce or for tea in the glamorous sun of the drenched conservatory dining room at La Cotte Farm. Enjoy an evening drink on the shady veranda with its unparalleled views over the whole valley or in the charmingly nostalgic sporting bar.
