Just a short walk from the Mont Rochelle hotel building and a stone’s throw from the winery, the Manor House is ideal for families or small groups looking to escape to the Winelands. The villa comfortably sleeps eight adults and boasts a cosy bunk room that can sleep up to six children.
Throughout the stay, guests can enjoy the stunning views, spacious common areas, kitchen, gym and outdoor heated swimming pool, not to mention the services of a chef who can prepare meals from the villa’s dedicated kitchen.
Guests are encouraged to treat the Manor House as a home away from home whilst enjoying the service expected from a luxury hotel. In addition to breakfast, which is included in all room rates, exclusive use of the Manor House also includes lunch or dinner at Miko restaurant or a light lunch at the Country Kitchen. Guests could opt to dine privately in the villa too. The exclusive use rate includes a drinks package per person per day that can be personalized for each group, just ask a member of the reservations team for more information.
All bedrooms include an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower and double vanity units. All beds can be converted into twin beds, a TV is in every room as well as a fully stocked minibar. Heating and air conditioning are provided in all bedrooms.
The Viognier Room is located in a standalone building adjacent to the main Manor House building with a terrace perfect for soaking up the vineyard and mountain views. This room includes a dressing table, living area and en-suite bathroom. The shower has been cleverly designed to convert into an outdoor or indoor shower depending on your preference!
The Chardonnay Room One is located downstairs and includes its own terrace. The room has views to the front and side of the Manor House, which means there is plenty of sunlight flooding into this spacious double bedroom.
The Chardonnay Room Two is a beautifully appointed bedroom with a mini-bar and en-suite bathroom.
The bunk room has two double beds, two single beds and an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. French doors lead onto the front of the property.
The Loft Suite is the only room on the top floor of the Manor House. It has a large en-suite bathroom with a bath and shower and French doors that lead you onto your own private terrace with panoramic views of the Klein Dassenberg mountain range. The bedroom has its own living area and has plenty of wardrobe space too.
What to do at Mont Rochelle
Mont Rochelle has two dedicated spa treatment rooms as well as a Hammam. All products are part of the eco-friendly Africology ‘Authentic’ range which are made from 100% essential oils and natural plant extracts. Resident guests are welcome to make sure of the Hammam at their own leisure as long as it is not in use for a scheduled treatment.
For active guests, the gym is available between 6 am and 10 pm daily. The gym is fully equipped with two treadmills, bikes, an adjustable bench and suspension training pack, dual adjustable pulley and a multipower machine, a set of free weights and a body ball.
The best way to explore the beautiful routes found at Mont Rochelle is on a bike, which can be arranged with the hotel.
For more adventurous guests a hike is the perfect way to explore the hills, valleys and vineyards surrounding the hotel and the local nature reserves. The Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve is located on the opposite side of the valley and offers superb views of the wine valley and on clear days, guests can even spot the Table Mountain and the ocean.
