Kingsley Lodge at Mont Eco Private Game Reserve is built alongside a seasonal riverbed and boasts a main lodge area with several communal spaces, different dining options and seven spacious contemporary Suites. The décor style of the lodge is a montage of texture and colour, with handcrafted doors, mosaic murals and subtle, eclectic touches to evoke the vibrant energy of Africa. The beautifully appointed central lodge is a convivial area for meals and relaxation around a central swimming pool. Relax on the expansive deck or in the cosy lounge, indulge in a wine tasting from the private cellar stocked with local wines, and absorb the tranquil sounds and scents of the Karoo.

About Mont Eco Private Game Reserve

Mont Eco Game Reserve is a 6 500 hectares farm in the Klein Karoo in the Western Cape that has historic remnants, Bushman paintings and fossils, dating back thousands of years, spread over this vast landscape. The reserve falls within the Cape Floral Kingdom, encompassing three significant biomes: Nama Karoo, Succulent Karoo and Fynbos. Caring custodians have restored the reserve to pristine fynbos and succulent vegetation and now boast an impressive diversity of succulent plant species.

Iconic Karoo species such as Brown Hyena, Aardvark, Oryx and Klipspringer occur naturally in this unique landscape, and herds of Eland, Springbok, Wildebeest, and Giraffe roam the parched plains of the “Klein Karoo” as they did centuries ago. After thorough research into the animal species that previously inhabited this region, the African Big Five – Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo have successfully been reintroduced to Mont Eco Game Reserve.
