The Accommodation

The 11 rooms at Birkenhead House are individually decorated by the stylish owner Liz Biden. The rooms are located in three different houses which make up Birkenhead House. Please note that while we will do our best to accommodate your room preference, we can only guarantee a room category and not a specific room.

Deluxe Superior Room - Beautifully designed sea-facing rooms in the front house with generous balconies. There is a seating area, mini-bar, flat screen TV, and air-con. The bathrooms have a bath and shower.

Superior Room - These air-conditioned rooms are located on the side of the hotel and offer majestic mountain and sea views. There is a seating area, mini-bar, flat screen TV, and air-con. The bathrooms have a bath and shower.

Luxury Room - Offering a view of the pool and central courtyard from the patio, with partial sea-views, these well-appointed, 42m² rooms have a king-size bed, air-con and a flat-screen TV. The private bathroom is fitted with an opulent bathtub and beautiful shower.

Standard Room - Standard rooms have a balcony with mountain views and are located in the back house. These air-conditioned and luxurious rooms have a seating area, mini-bar, and flat-screen. The private bathroom is fitted with a bath and shower.

Dining at Birkenhead House

Executive Chef Oliver Coetzee grew up in South Africa’s Western Cape where the cuisine has a strong Malay influence. He’s also had a long time passion for Asian flavors. The culmination of these influences with the abundance of fresh, local seafood makes for a truly tantalizing menu. Menus and meals can be designed to meet guests’ individual palates and dietary requirements.
