Kuyenda Bushcamp is a charming and rustic camp that offers a true taste of the bush and embodies the authentic charm of old Africa. Located in the remote, southern part of the South Luangwa National Park, on the banks of the dry Manzi River, Kuyenda is renowned for warm hospitality, sumptuous meals, and first-class guides. Within easy reach of Mfuwe Lodge, it is the perfect getaway for individuals and small groups wishing to explore the spectacular wildlife of the South Luangwa.

There’s something undeniably special about Kuyenda. Set beneath shady trees by the Manzi River, it may be the simplest of camps but Kuyenda Bushcamp is rustic and authentic with its cluster of traditional thatched grass huts and back-to-nature feel. Boasting 6 elevated Rondavel Chalets with large comfortable beds under mosquito nets, Kuyenda is an intimate camp perfect for those closest to you.

As for wildlife, you hardly need to look for it as it will come to you. Settle down in the lounge and look out over the rippling grasses of the neighbouring plain where the drama of the African wilderness is played out each day.

Kuyenda’s intimate atmosphere is only enhanced by the extraordinary staff who run the camp – the ever-hospitable team and Zambia’s most experienced guides. No one knows Kuyenda like they do, and no one will make you feel more welcome.

About The South Luangwa National Park

South Luangwa National Park is the highlight of eastern Zambia. Known to locals as simply 'the South Park,' it was initially founded as the Luangwa Game Park in 1904, and converted to one of three game reserves in 1938. The impressive park covers an area of about 9050 square kilometres of the Luangwa Valley floor and lies anywhere from 500 meters to 800 meters above sea level. With its western and northwestern edge bounded by the Muchinga Escarpment and the southern border line with the meandering Luangwa River, there's no shortage of dramatic and fascinating topography in this stunning game-rich park.
