If you want to experience the wild, the natural, the modern and the luxurious, all at the same time, you’ll find it at Epako Safari Lodge and Spa, one of Africa’s finest game reserves. The Epako Safari Lodge and Spa is located in Namibia, in beautiful mountainous surroundings on the outskirts of the renowned Damaraland region, and is conveniently located midway between Windhoek, Swakopmund and the Etosha National Park. Get up close to a wide variety of animals in their natural wildlife sanctuary.
Each room features its own furnished terrace overlooking the gardens or Namibian bush. All the rooms have air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom, mini-bar, satellite television, telephone and private terrace. Relax here in total peace and quiet or join in with other guests on the outside terrace and dining area, which overlooks a waterhole, and is an ideal spot to watch the animals come to drink.
Meals can be taken inside or outside. We serve a combination of Namibian and French cuisine with specially picked South African wines. Special diets can of course be catered for on request.
Damaraland is a different kind of wilderness in Namibia with spectacular wide open spaces interrupted by mountains and ancient craters that hide many pre-historic treasures. It's hot and dry and seemingly without life, yet San Bushmen lived here for thousands of years leaving amazing Rock Art at Twyfelfontein for the world to see - one of the most extensive collections ever found.
In this part of northern Namibia, you can observe the intense colours of nature, find out what a Petrified Forest looks like and see fantastic rock formations that are millions of years old. You can also climb the Brandberg Massif, Namibia's highest mountain, take a hot air balloon ride or stay on the ground and track some of nature's most exceptional animals.
An animal tracking safari in Damaraland, Namibia, follows Desert Elephant and Black Rhino, just two of an array of creatures and plants that have adapted to the extreme climate and terrain. On various trails and expeditions you can enjoy a unique sense of freedom and adventure in one of the least accessible parts of northern Namibia.
