A tented bar and indoor lounge are the service hub, alongside a shady dining deck and sunken sitting area. Meals can be prepared in our open air boma around the campfire, also an ideal venue for after dinner tales and glass of wine, to be sure.
Seven superbly appointed boutique tented Master Suites are constructed above ground on the river and consist of a tented bedroom suite, a separate bathroom suite with shower and bath, an open-air shower and a private plunge pool. Our family Suite can accommodate 6 people and consists of a master bedroom suite as well as two separate bedrooms as well as a separate open-air loo and shower.
Koro River Camp is the perfect family, multigenerational, group or quiet private getaway setting.
We strive to be different at Koro with each wilderness or wildlife encounter tailored to mold your requirements. Although we live and breathe big game, we focus away from conventional commercial game viewing by focusing on our vision of a complete African safari and immersive experience. Our safari arm, led by well-known wilderness guide of 32 years, Alan McSmith, arranges an extensive selection of tailor-made adventures of distinction throughout Southern Africa, with a special brand of awareness, leaving all who experience touched and maybe forever changed!
Along with the Timbo Afrika Foundation an accredited PhD level field study, focusing on the ecology of leopards and hyenas of the Tuli has been established. The study focusses on the inter-relationships between these large predators, especially the iconic endangered brown hyena. Guests are encouraged to participate in research excursions to monitor camera-traps, den sites or animal identification.
An ancient landscape, the hidden treasures are numerous, from natural springs, an oasis in the winter months making them such productive game viewing spots, to some exceptional San rock art that makes for a very worthwhile half day trip. This excursion also helps the community maintain this heritage site, making it a very valuable addition to our activities.

Kwa-Tuli Private Game Reserve is situated in Botswana, Southern Africa, in the heart of the Northern Tuli Block. A remote, private and unspoiled African wildlife reserve Kwa-Tuli forms part of the greater Limpopo-Shashe Transfrontier Park and offers some of the most incredible wildlife and wilderness experiences available in Southern Africa.
The area is renowned for the largest, single population of elephant on privately owned land in Africa. Lion, Leopard, Cheetah and all the major predators can be seen in this region. The reserve's southern boundary is the great Limpopo River. Hippo and Crocodiles concentrate in the deeper pools while leopard hunt baboons on the forested islands.
Nocturnal animals such as Hyena, Porcupine, Aardvark, Civet, Genet and Bush baby can be observed on the night drives. Birding Kwa-Tuli offers excellent birding. Pel's Fishing Owl, Ground Hornbill and Double banded Coursers are some of the 360 species of birds to be seen.
