Eagle Owl Camp is a luxury private self-catering camp overlooking the banks of the Machatane River located in the Timbavati Private Game Reserve. The lodge is surrounded by large indigenous Apple Leaf and Bush Willow trees, which allows for spectacular birdlife viewing. The Machatane Riverbed also acts as a bush hideaway bringing amazing animal sightings from the safety of the camp. Whether it be a family holiday or a corporate week away, Eagle Owl is an ideal place for your own private bush experience.

The 4 luxury en-suite chalets each boast their own private decks. Enjoy a fully equipped open plan kitchen, bar & lounge with a TV as well as an outside fire pit which overlooks the river. At the end of the day relax in the enclosed boma area chatting the night away with fellow guests about the day’s sightings.

With a focus on eco-tourism, the power supply at Eagle Owl Camp is strictly solar and there are only high-speed fans, no air conditioners.

The camp is self-catering however guests may order groceries and beverages from the Hoedspruit PicknPay which can then be delivered to the camp. Alternatively, a chef can be hired to prepare meals. These catering options are at an additional cost and must be booked/ordered in advance.

Guests are welcome to enjoy two game drives daily, with either a morning coffee stop or sunset drinks stop, plus optional bushwalks with a qualified Guide and Tracker. Take a day excursion to the Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, Timbavati Museum or the Kapama Cheetah Project. With traversing rights on 12000 hectares of prime game area with regular sightings of Lion, Buffalo, Elephant, Leopard, Rhino and general game the sightings seen in one day are extraordinary.
